How to

Vibrant June

The forecast for the fashion Spring Summer 2020 make-up trends direction is inspired by the 1980’s surf culture. A celebration of freedom and living life to the full, what better way than to embrace a fun and playful festival vibe! Colors should be vibrant and experimental. With a modern take on the faux freckle trend we’ve had some fun with these carefree looks. So, for this summer we’ll have to imagine a toe in the sand, but our make-ups can still be on trend with a sense of summer freedom.
Look 1
Using a synthetic brush draw overlapping circles, that vary in size, by mixing Aquacolor 8 ml (070) with a little water. Concentrate the clusters under the eyes, apples of the cheeks, and sweep up across the cheekbones. The circles can be big and bold, but ensure you pair them with varying sizes. Once dry carefully draw smaller circles within each, alternating between the colors of Aquacolor UV-Dayglow 8 ml (UV red), Aquacolor UV-Dayglow 8 ml (UV yellow), Aquacolor UV-Dayglow 8 ml (UV green) and Aquacolor UV-Dayglow 8 ml (UV purple). Keep a fine white edge on each of the vibrant faux Freckles to help frame the colors and increase the intensity of the dayglow.
Look 2
Using a Make-up Blending Plate and Make-up Mixing Spatula carefully mix in separated swatches of Pure Pigments (pure joy), Pure Pigments (pure envy), Pure Pigments (pure pleasure) and Pure Pigments (pure guilt) with Mixing Medium. The consistency should be creamy like the texture of fluid foundation. Using a brush for each color build clusters of freckles that frame the eyes, following the contours of the bone structure. Also add a playfully spattering on the chin. Ensure the circles vary in size, from tiny dots to large circles and keep a varying distance between each other for a haphazard feel, typical of the predicted seasonal trends.
Look 3
Once the skin has been perfected with that gorgeous summer glow and matt rose blush it’s time to get ‘painty’! Using a few fine tipped liner brushes and randomly apply a spattering of colorful faux freckles across the bridge of the nose and tops of the cheeks. Feel free to play with the spacing between each applying some closer together than others for a more free-spirited vibe. The colors selected here are HD Cream Liner (ruby red), HD Cream Liner (sunshine), HD Cream Liner (dark orchid) and HD Cream Liner (turquoise breeze). Use different sizes and shapes and get playful with placement in other areas of the face to build up this simple but effective look.
Look 4
Using Aquacolor 8 ml (070) carefully paint overlapping circles with a focus on the cheeks and add some smaller individual circles around that detail to frame it.
Now with a smaller synthetic brush carefully apply circles within the white base, leaving a ring of white around the edges. Apply this detail by alternating between Aquacolor UV-Dayglow 8 ml (UV red), Aquacolor UV-Dayglow 8 ml (UV green), Aquacolor UV-Dayglow 8 ml (UV yellow) and Aquacolor UV-Dayglow 8 ml (UV purple). Once dry apply Hydro Spirit Gum 12 mlover each large circle colored in red, yellow and Green. Now dab POLYESTER GLIMMER in the matching shades of Polyester Glimmer fine (pastel green), Polyester Glimmer fine (pastel red) and Polyester Glimmer fine (pastel yellow) to add a touch of sparkle to the design. Finish by adding smaller dots of color randomly.
